Beckville Community Church

Beckville Community Church

is a family of believers who worship the God of the Bible, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and serve our community with love and grace.

Our Mission

To transform the Beckville Community into equipped disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our vision

We strive to create a community of believers who live worship-filled lives and embrace God’s word revealed in the Bible as the God-breathed, authoritative standard by which we learn to love God and to love other people.

We envision families who reflect the glory of Christ’s love for the church through their obedience to Christ and their willingness to love one another through sacrifice and service.

We see a church filled with people who pray for and with one another constantly and look for ways to build others up through encouraging words and Christ-like fellowship.

We picture a people so enthralled with the beauty of Christ that they cannot help but evangelize their neighbors, friends, and family with good words and works.

Our Core Values

Biblical Instruction

We value God’s word revealed in the Bible as the God-breathed, authoritative standard by which we learn to love God and to love other people.
(2 Tim. 3:14-17)

Worship

We value worship that is both spiritual and true (John 4:1-30)

Family

We value family as the primary means for imaging the love Christ has for his church. (Ep. 5:15-6:4)

Obedience

We value a willingness to do what God and others in authority ask of us. (John 3:36; 14:15-26; Heb. 13:17)

Community

We value an environment which cultivates Christ-like relationships within our church and with our neighbors. (Acts 2:41-47)

Encouragement

We value encouraging people who need hope with the truth of God’s promises in Christ Jesus. (Heb. 6:13-20; Rom. 15:1-6; Ep. 4:29)

Prayer

We value the power of prayer as the God-ordained, Spirit-led means by which God accomplishes His will through dialog with His people about all matters, all people, and in all seasons, whether in private, with others, or in the context of corporate worship as a church. (Matt. 6:5-15)

Service

We value Christian service that imitates Jesus’s willingness to serve others with no expectation of payback or return. (Matt. 20:20-28)

Fellowship

We value Christian fellowship that results from fellowship with God and makes authentic friendship possible among believers. (1 John 1:1-10)

Evangelism

We value a willingness to obey Jesus’s command to make disciples of all nations through the sharing of the Gospel with our unbelieving neighbors. (Matt. 28:18-20)
